Yesterday, in the Coral Ballroom of the Hilton Hawaiian Village Hotel, the Retail Merchants of Hawaii, the trade association that represent hundreds of retail companies in honolulu and all of the islands named Ryan Roth, the "Retail Employee of the year 2010."

Ryan was named because of his 20 year remarkable record. Ryan has a spotless record. Guest love him and he has never had a bad comment.

The presenter of the award asked Ryan if it is true that he has worked at the Village for 20 years and never missed a day of work or taken a sick day. And it is true, 20 years, always here and always on time.

Ryan really does believe that arriving at the hotel by 7:00 and not leaving until sunset and serving Hilton guests with true Aloha Spirit is his calling and he truly loves his work.

Obviously our guests love him to. Hotel management often receive letters that praise Ryan and his staff and they give his Spirit of Aloha as one of their reasons to return to the Village year after year. One family is on their 24th return visit and they tell us it is because of Ryan. Ryan is our in-house HVCB, a true Ambassador of Aloha.
