Why Try Stand Up Paddleboard Yoga?

Stand up paddling (SUP) combines the best of kayaking and surfing, offering you the option to cruise in calm lagoon waters or charge waves in the open ocean. You can also test your balance and work out your core while you enjoy your time in the water.

Like a regular yoga, Stand Up Paddleboard (SUP) Yoga incorporates breath work, sun salutations, back bending, and even inversions if you're up to the challenge. It's a total body workout in which you unconsciously engage even more of your core in order to stabilize the board and stay in balance.

Similar to yoga, you also use your breath, focus, along with the muscles of the body to steady yourself in yoga poses while on an SUP. Poses on a SUP provide a bit more challenge to your quadriceps, shoulders, arms, and knees and and your core. Because the wind and water conditions are always changing, doing yoga on a SUP allows you to experience a different practice every time.

Not only is SUP yoga a fun and relaxing activity that most anyone can do, it is also one of the best workouts out there.

During your Hawaii vacation at the Hilton Hawaiian Village, enjoy the beauty of the lagoon and achieve a state of zen, with this unique total body workout.
